Immediate source of acquisition or transfer
While it is assumed that the Bank Archives has maintained custody of the records in this fonds following their transfer, the specifics of that transfer (i.e. which unit transferred the records, when the records were transferred, and what, if any, schedule was used) has been lost or was not recorded. It is likely, however, that they accompanied Chatenay's records from his work as secretary of the Economic Development Institute Task Force in 1982-1983.

Scope and content
This sub-fonds contains memoranda and reports compiled by L. Peter Chatenay that primarily relate to the World Bank's early organization and staffing. It would seem that these materials were prepared in support of Chatenay's participation in the Organization Study Team which was created in support of the 1972 Bank-wide reorganization.
