McNamara apparently took the photo albums of his trips to Bolivia and Sri Lanka with him when he retired in 1981. He then transferred them to the Joint Bank-Fund Library on 13 November 1984, and the Library transferred them to the Archives on 27 October 1993. The album on Niger and possibly the album on Bangladesh were transferred to the Archives from within the Bank, likely from the Information and Public Affairs office.

This series consists of four photograph albums of President and Mrs. McNamara's visits to Niger (March 5-6, 1972), Bolivia (March 7-9, 1976), Bangladesh (November 3-6, 1976), and Sri Lanka (November 20, 1978). The photographs arein black and white.
