Archival history
The series was transferred to the Archives from the President's office in September 1991. The transfer list noted that three files (Debt initiative, General capital increase, and IDA reflows) were checked out and a note in the files said, Black book borrowed by Brookings Bank History Project. The Brookings Institution team that was writing the history of the Bank borrowed a number of files from the President's office, and presumably these were the missing files. All have now been returned and are interfiled. In addition, a file entitled Debt borrowed by the Brookings team was returned and added to the series in October 1997.
